Impressive results for KIS Graduates

KIS students continue to deliver strong Diploma Programme (DP) results

KIS International School is thrilled to share our outstanding IB results for the graduating class of 2021. Despite the challenging year, this year marked unprecedented results with a 100% pass rate for the 2021 cohort.

KIS students received an average score of 37 points, well above the global average of 33 points. More than one third of our graduating class received a score of 40 or above, and three of our students achieved 44 points. Twenty-three percent of KIS students received IB Bilingual Diplomas in Mandarin, Serbian and Thai.

KIS is especially excited to share the success of five students who received offers from the prestigious Hong Kong University (HKUST). Four of these students received 42+ points, entitling them to a full scholarship in their first year. The fifth student, with a score of 41 points, was awarded a 50% tuition discount.

The quality of instruction at KIS International School is consistently high as an IB continuum school.

In addition to the strong scores our students received, what makes the KIS IB curriculum unique is the emphasis on inquiry based, interdisciplinary learning. The critical thinking and problem-solving skills that students acquire are the cornerstone of an IB education. Additionally, the rigor and discipline required for the Diploma programme prepare students remarkably well for their university life.

The quality of instruction at KIS International School is consistently high. As one of only three IB continuum schools in the region, we offer three IB programmes.The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is designed for students between the ages of 3 – 12 years. It provides the knowledge, skills, personal attributes, and the capacity to take action. By focusing on the child’s academic, social, physical, emotional, and cultural needs, the PYP helps children develop and grow as a whole. The Middle Years Programme (MYP) is designed for students in Grades 6 – 10. It provides a framework of learning that encourages students to become creative, critical, and reflective thinkers. The MYP emphasizes intellectual challenge by encouraging students to make connections between their traditional studies and the real world. The Diploma Programme (DP) is designed to equip students in Grades 11-12 for university and career success. Students reflect on the nature of knowledge, complete independent research, and undertake a project that often involves community service. KIS graduates are equipped with an IB Diploma, as well as self management and academic skills that universities admire.

Our graduates received 174 offers from 89 universities in 10 countries around the world. We are immensely proud of the resilience, determination, and compassion that our diverse and internationally minded students have exemplified.
